Below is a list of the most frequently asked questions and answers that we receive from customers who need a locking wheel nut removal service.  If you have any questions or you feel a particular one should be included on here; please let us know!

  •   Question: How long does it take to remove a locking wheel nut?

it can take anything from 5 minutes to 30mins to remove a locking wheel nut or bolt without the original key.  It all depends on the type of locking nut, the existing damage, how tight the nut is and what removal methods are required.

On average we remove 4 nuts or bolts in around 20 minutes.  Our unique removal tool enables us to offer a 100% guarantee that we will remove your locking wheel nuts.

  •   Question: Why shouldn't I try to remove my own locking nuts at home?

Many of the suggested DIY removal techniques found on car forums, youtube and google simply do not work on the modern type wheel nuts, ie the Mcgard style for example. Hammering a slightly narrower socket on top of the locking wheel nut will only work on a few of the older style bolts when they have not been over tightened and there is enough access round the outside of the Bolt. Manufactures of both alloy wheels and locking wheel nuts/bolts have re-designed both wheels and bolts years ago so that now, in virtually all cases, this approach will not work. This will inevitably damage your wheel and causes further damage to the locking nut head making it harder for us to remove

  •   Question: Do I need to bring replacement wheel nuts or locking nuts with me?

We stock an extensive range of vastly improved locking wheel Nuts & Bolts & also standard wheel nuts and bolts to replace those that we remove.

To confirm prices and availability for your vehicle we ask that you discuss this with us when making a booking.

  •   Question: What areas do you cover?

We offer a nationwide call out service (subject to a call out fee of £1 per mile each way).   You are always welcome to travel to us in order to avoid paying a call out charge and we have customers travel to us from all over the UK.

We appreciate this is not always possible and therefore offer the call out service to customers anywhere in the UK.

  •   Question: A garage have chiselled my nut to pieces, can you still remove it?

Yes we can still remove even the most damaged of nuts.

Our equipment works even when there is hardly anything left of the nut.

  •   Question: Do you ever resort to destructive techniques like cutting off a wheel?

We NEVER resort to anything as drastic as destroying a wheel in order to remove locking nuts.
THIS IS NEVER REQUIRED NO MATTER WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD.
